The TWINS are ONE!

I am sure if you have been following my photography for the last year and a half you have certainly heard, or read, about this amazing story! Two babies, TWINS, with completely different birthdays. It was Amber’s last attempt at IVF (after having 9 other failed attempts) and her best friend, Cindy, who also offered to be a surrogate for her. Both the IVF and the surrogacy worked! The TWINS have different birthdays, but both are happy, healthy and thriving little ONE year olds! I am so lucky I know them and I get to photograph this family!

A wedding mass delivered in both French & English last weekend was simply magical. Lillian arrived by horse drawn carriage with her father as Mathieu and his mother walked down the aisle to start the ceremony. Day 2 of the wedding weekend was traditional ceremony held in the center of the sleepy ski town of Megeve (as it’s the off season) and a reception you could walk to down the street.

Sunday morning bunch, on the top of a mountain at l’alpage. The only way to get there is to hike up to it or take an off-road vehicle to it (with cliffs rights along the sides)! Incredible views, great company, light naps, looking for marmot & goat sightings, and fondue over a fire. The perfect ending to an incredible weekend! Cheers to Mathieu & Lillian!

Grateful, thankful & blessed. What a whirlwind weekend in Megeve, France photographing a 3 day wedding weekend. The views, the people and my 2nd photographer crushing it on his 2nd and last time out photographing a wedding (his decision to go into retirement, not mine! ) lost luggage, fresh Evian water, lots of cheese, excellent cappuccinos, and some late nights together make this trip one we’ll never forget!

Civil ceremony in France this morning- it’s so beautiful to see how much tradition is still a huge part of this world!

Lillian walked through a local market from her hotel to meet up with Mathieu, where he and his family were waiting. We walked into the board room together to witness them become a partnership in marriage. At the conclusion of the ceremony they were handed two pens and a velvet book. The velvet book how the families in Megeve still track their families- through paper… I felt like I was thrown back in time today with REAL authentic love and a love for real tradition of families coming together.

Today was just the start of a beautiful partnership! Here’s to the exciting things to come tomorrow & Sunday!!!
