Dana & Jack-Pond House Wedding

wedding date: August 4th, 2017

Dana & Jack tied the knot on a perfect summer day at the Pond House Cafe last week. Their wedding was filled with many personal touches and details that Dana planned on for over a year. Since Dana is a teacher, a lot of her hand-made items were put together during her summer break.

Dana prepared for her wedding day at the gorgeous Goodwin Hotel in downtown Hartford. The Goodwin has some incredibly cool and trendy furniture and spaces throughout the hotel. Dana’s bracelet was an heirloom and the earrings she wore have been worn at 3 other weddings in her family as well. She had 3 of her grandmothers broaches attached to her absolutely stunning bouquet to carry down the isle. Her bridesmaids dresses were in a pink/coral ombre that I think she pulled off nicely! Jack got ready for the wedding at their house. He was surrounded by his friends, his parents and their lovable rescue cat that Dana and Jack worry someone will steal her because of how perfect she is!

They had their first look in one of the gardens at Elizabeth Park. Overall, the park was very quiet on Friday so there were not many other visitors that we had to avoid. Bridegroom portraits and family photos were all taken in the gardens at Elizabeth Park, a must see for anyone who has not been there before.

The ceremony took place on the patio at the Pond House. The Pond House has a really cool approach for the bridal party to walk around before actually entering the ceremony area. A beautifully dramatic way to start a wedding. They wrote their own vows and Jack’s father married them (after becoming ordained on the internet)! The party rocked on throughout the rest of the night and concluded with a dramatic sparkler send-off!  I hope they are having a blast in Hawaii on their honeymoon! Cheers to the newlyweds!
