Wedding Day: June 4th, 2016
Chris and Liz found me through a mutual friend of theirs and I am so happy I was introduced to them. At our first meeting we realized that not only did we have a mutual friend, but Chris and my cousin have hung out a few times! Such a small world!
Liz got ready for her wedding at the Best Western in Fairfield, CT. She was surrounded by her nieces, mom and friends that morning as she prepared to walk down the isle. Her sisters friend Andrea, from Hair Explosion, came to do everyone’s hair. Liz and her girls just relaxed as they sipped champagne and enjoyed some light entertainment from her neice who loves singing and performing her songs she learned at school! Liz wore her grandmothers watch and heart pendant. She also has her grandmothers diamond on her engagement ring.
Chris did not see Liz until she was walked down the isle of the church she grew up in by her father. In his homily he spoke about how he’d love to give the couple some advice from his own wedding day, but he can’t remember it. He said, the day is filled with so much joy it’s hard to focus on just one part. Liz’s mom beautifully sang Ave Maira during the offering of their ceremony. The old stone church was such a perfect backdrop for family portraits after the receiving line was completed.
The bridal portraits were taken at 2 local parks that we in-between Fairfield and East Haven where their reception was. We first stopped at Boothe Memorial Park in Stratford, CT. The rose garden and the purple rhododendrons bush set the tone for some beautiful bridal portraits. We then stopped over at a park on the shore in New Haven for a few quick photos by the water. Their cocktail hour and reception started as soon as we arrived at the venue. This crowd, the family, and their friends kept the party bumping until 11:30 that night. Such a fun day with a very animated crowd! Congrats Liz & Chris!
