wedding date: September 12, 2026
Emily started her morning with her bridesmaids and her family’s home. For a bride who loves bows, the oversized bow on the back of her dress was the perfect statement. Emily and her mom also just started to learn how to cross stitch, so throughout the house and the wedding details. there were things they both had made. Also, the brides mom and grandmother repurposed part of their own wedding gowns turned into a beautiful hand bag for them to carry.
The ceremony was officiated by a priest who has known the groom since their Fairfield Prep days, bringing plenty of personality and a wonderful sense of humor and history to the ceremony. It is so special when the priest marring the couple really knows the couple… not to mention he had a excellent homily for the couple.
After the ceremony Matt, Emily and their wedding party climbed aboard the white trolley made their way to the reception. The celebration continued at the golf club where the groom is a member with his dad, making the setting even more meaningful. The cocktail hour and reception continued on into the evening with the dance floor packed and the bride, groom and preist being hoisted into the air in chairs! What a fun party with a packed dance floor…And the perfect ending? A ribbon exit, complete with lights woven through the ribbons, sending the newlyweds off in style. Cheers to the next 100 years!
