Sean planned the sweetest surprise for Iqra — one that felt perfectly them. He chose a quiet farm they’d been to before, with a spot surrounded by maple trees just starting to turn for fall and a section of the property devoted entirely to dahlias that were in full bloom. He even mentioned a tree he loved there that, in his words, gave off Lord of the Rings vibes.
He sent me his location so I could track him (the modern way of hiding in the bushes!), and I waited as they pulled in. Iqra had no idea what was coming — Sean told her they were just stopping by to let their dog, Cloud, get some energy out.
They walked out toward the field, Cloud pulling them ahead, and under those maples, Sean stopped, turned to her, and got down on one knee.
Afterward, we headed into the center of Litchfield for a few more photos — at The Corner, the restaurant where they first met (not the actual corner of town, like I originally thought!). It was the perfect way to end such a perfect morning.
Here are a few favorites of mine from their proposal and mini-session right after they got engaged!
