This weekend in the beautiful Litchfield Hills, after a hike to the The Pinnacle overlooking Lake Waramaug Ryan proposed to Joyce. Ryan and Joyce, avid hikers visiting from New York City, reached the summit just as my son Jackson and I were “taking in the view” (this was preplanned). I asked them to snap a quick photo of us, and in return, we offered to take one of them.
That’s when the moment unfolded and Ryan dropped to one knee and proposed to Joyce right there on the mountaintop!
When she turned to me afterward he proposed, she laughed and said, “Wait, you’re a photographer?”, It couldn’t have been planned any better. A perfect setting for an unforgettable engagement atop the hills of Connecticut.
