“Love doesn’t make the world go ’round, love makes the ride worthwhile” is one of my favorite quotes. I’m starting out my blog post about Ronnie and Shelby with this quote because I think in their case, it is wrong. Shelby & Ronnie’s world revolves around the love for one another. There was not a moment that I have ever questioned how destined these two are for one another. They knew each other in high school but did not start dating until they were in college. And as life has ended up, they are continuing their pledge of love for one another at their exchange of rings and vows during their wedding. Ronnie & Shelby were smiling ear to ear the whole day and it continued well into the night.
Shelby got dressed in their “half-way moved in” house with all of her beautiful bridesmaids. Ronnie prepared for his day in his childhood home at his parents house. They wrote notes to one another to read before they left for the church and as my 2nd photographer and I documented this moment, we know their love for one another was shining through the lens.
They married at St. Peter’s Church in Danbury, CT. As the ceremony concluded, the rain started to come down, on and off. That did not damper their spirits or desire to head to my favorite place to photograph people, Tarrywile Park. We took a walk, played in the milkweeds (soooo awesome & many thanks to the videographer’s 2nd camera man for making some magic happen), and then headed back towards the party bus. Once the logistics were over it was off to party at the Amber Room Colonnade in Danbury, CT.
The night rocked on to the with an awesome DJ, Spencer, from Dance to the Music. He sang and danced with all of us and kept the night rocking. Also, Carlos Rodriguez from Custom Made Video was on hand documenting their day through video,… and that video is sure going to be good!
This couple had so much fun and a ton of love to share, that their wedding was nothing short of amazing! Congrats to the newlyweds! Thank you for letting me be apart of your day! Here are a few highlights!
