Everything about Patrick and Jessica’s wedding day was completely original and very different from all the other weddings I have photographed. When Patrick and Jessica first told me where their wedding was going to be held, then they told me it was a “mario themed” wedding, I was not sure how this whole thing would turn out. Some weddings have color themes, or beach themes, their wedding was everything super mario bros! Through the planning for Jessica and Patrick, everything came together. The center pieces and the flowers were paper, there were gold coins spread throughout, and even the cake was decorated as if it was a mario world.
The wedding took place down by the beach at Quassy Amusement Park. It was the perfect backdrop for a wedding ceremony to be held. Upon their exit as husband and wife for the first time, guests threw Captain Crunch Berries as they walked out! This was a complete surprise to to them and the look on their faces was priceless! Then, after they were married, we walked through the theme park with the bridal party, rode a train together and sat in matching colored tea cups! Quassy had such a cool selection of places to go to take pictures of the newly married couple. One of the really cool benefits to having a wedding at Quassy, the rides! While we were taking bridal party photos, the guests that were at the wedding were able to spend time in the park, riding the rides before heading back for dinner and dancing at the lakeside pavilion. What an awesome wedding! Congrats to the #superemmersonparty!
