I swear, Matt & Jolie are old souls from a previous life, who have found one another again. They met while working at Matt’s parents Italian restaurant. Matt being the true classic gentleman, on their first date, he brought her a purple rose. Now every Sunday, he brings her a purple rose.
Their love for vintage, classic and hopelessly romantic details are things you see straight out of the movies. The details of their wedding just scream classic Hollywood love story. From the beautiful lace details on her dress, her hair and flowers, to his bowtie/suspenders/cumber-bunt and his hair, no detail was forgotten. They even packed old suitcases to display at their reception as if they were packing for their wedding day, complete with perfume, pictures, pearls, old liquor, cigar boxes and straight razors for a clean shave.
Their day started with them getting ready in their hotel rooms, just down the hall from one another (until they realized this and moved Matt and his guys). People were in and out checking in and bringing Jolie & Matt’s son, Leo, by. Both were surrounded by their siblings and their best friends they’ve had for years.
Even though Jolie was running a little behind for her wedding, Matt did not panic or sweat it at all. He was cool, calm and collected,… until she walked down the isle. He had the sweetest reaction to seeing her, he let the tears just flow. During their ceremony they exchanged rings, wrote their own vows, all as Matt’s 93 year old grandfather resided over the ceremony. These are the sweet details that made their wedding day perfectly them~!
The party continued through the night as we went into the reception at the Aqua Turf Club in the Wagon Wheel room. Their first dance not only had fog, but in true, hopeless romantic fashion, Matt also sung their wedding song while they danced! Not only were they celebrating their wedding, but September 20th is also Matt’s birthday! What a great evening of food, fun and dancing! Here are my favorite highlights from their day! Congratulations to the newlyweds!
