wedding date: September 17th, 2016
These two sweethearts tied the knot on a beautiful September afternoon in Southbury, CT. The weather was picture perfect as Mario and Kara prepared for their wedding day. Mario and Kara chose to have a first look right outside the hotel before they traveled over to the church. It was so perfectly perfect! When Kara and Mario were planning their wedding, they planned to have plenty of time to relax and not feel rushed. After their first look we headed over to the church.
Kara and Mario had an intimate wedding at a beautiful church down the street where each of their bridesmaids and Mario’s best man took part in readings during their ceremony. Their parents brought the items down the isle for communion all while there was beautiful sunlight streaming through the top skylight.
We captured a few formal photos in the church before heading over to Southford Falls State Park. At Southford Falls, we took some time to photograph family and the wedding party before having a crazy amount of time for intimate photos of the newlyweds! Once the family and bridal party formals were complete, they headed back on the bus while Kara & Mario stayed at the park to capture the beautiful, quite, alone moments there!
After formals, the party continued into the night at the lovely Heritage Hotel in the garden room. Cocktail hour was outside in the garden. As soon as the bridal party was introduced and the parent dances happened, the dance floor was packed for the rest of the night! What a great day for a beautiful couple! Congrats Mario & Kara!
