Lauren & Aaron- Grand Oak Villa Wedding

Lauren and Aaron never gave up on throwing a party this year (a real wedding party), and man did they pull it off! They had 4 different wedding dates and three different invitations and when their original venue canceled on them, they found a different place to have their wedding. Everything about their wedding was planned out, perhaps that’s the Kindergarten teacher in Lauren! I am so honored that I was there to photograph their wedding day and so happy for my fellow colleague to still tie the knot despite all the curveballs she was thrown! Congrats to the newlyweds, here are some of my favorites from their day!!

I always ask my brides to gather the little things that matter most to them and place them in a box for me to photograph. The details that tell their story.

When I mentioned including something old, Sarah immediately thought of her “lovey,” the one of the things she has that reminds her of her mom.

Years ago, Sarah’s mom planted a hydrangea at her sister in law’s house, saying that someday they would use them for Sarah’s wedding. On Sarah’s wedding morning, those very hydrangeas were brought into the getting ready space.

Then, during family formals, one single ladybug appeared and landed on the brides sister in law. Ladybugs are reminders to the family that mom is nearby.

Some details are beautiful. Some details hold an entire lifetime. 🤍
