Their paths have crossed many times, and if younger Heather could have told older Heather, she’d be marrying her best friend from years ago, they would have been at the alter a lot sooner. Heather and Mike have been friends for what seems like forever. They just get one another. They love and support one another and share a common bond over donuts. Every Sunday, they travel to Shelton, CT to pick up fresh donuts. It was only fitting that they had a whole bar of donuts to chose from on their wedding night.
This laid back couple had a rainy wedding day. It was not just a little rain, it was a Nor’easter. Plans had to change from being married outside at the Lounsbury House, to indoors. Inside the Lounsbury House is just as stunning though. The beautiful chandeliers and the wrap around staircase is a perfect backdrop for an indoor wedding. Heather & Mike were married by Mayor Mark Boughton from Danbury, CT. It was a perfectly perfect ceremony. The wedding continued with cocktail hour and formal photos on the porch of the house. Heather and Mike were even brave enough to step into the rain with me for a few pictures in the downpour! They danced the night away surrounded by family and friends inside the middle of the Lounsbury House. Here are my favorites from their wedding day!
