Dan & Jillian- Snowy Engagement Session

Jillian & Dan’s love story started in college. They meet while attending Quinnipiac University, and even though they like rival football teams, they have found a way to put that aside (as long as it is not football season)! Jillian is a physical therapist and Dan works behind the scenes at a popular sports cooperation in CT. When we were originally planning their engagement session, we decided that we were going to wait for snow so we could go sledding. We did not book a date until a few weeks ago because we were holding out for a snowy weekend… and wouldn’t you know it, we’ve had little to no snow this winter in New England!!! When we saw snow in the forecast for 2 days before their engagement, we were all ecstatic! Until,… Saturday was warm enough to melt a good majority of it. I happened to drive through White Memorial Park on Saturday evening and saw that the snow was still on the pine trees and there was still enough snow to try to sled. We changed our location for the session to White Memorial Park in hopes that the little bit of snow would still be there! Sunday morning at White Memorial Park turned out to be the perfect winter morning. The warm sun was rising and there was still plenty of snow on the trees and it was warm enough to play outside with out coats on!

After we walked though a beautiful part of the park and took some pretty pictures, we headed to play in the snow; each of them donning their rival teams hats. Though the snowball fights, sledding and all out tackling each other in the snow. We had so much fun playing in the snow under the warm sun trying to get the snow tube to actually move!! I can’t wait for their August wedding this year at Candlelight Farms!
