Cindy and Mike live in my hometown and when we were discussing places to have their engagement session we thought that Newtown would be the perfect place! We started in the center of Newtown, CT on a very, very, very windy spring afternoon. Then we headed to their local beach on Lake Zoar where they enjoy spending time as a family in the summer. This majestic church, originally built in 1981, was rebuilt and rededicated in December 2025. It has an incredible stained glass window (25ft tall) that is fully illuminated at night.
To me, these black and white photos detail the simplistic, yet ethereal, grace of Kristin & Joe’s ceremony- highlighted in the magic of their daughter’s eyes waiting for the door to open and here mother to walk down the aisle.
