Wedding date: June 18th, 2016
Brooke and Cody could not have had more perfect weather for their wedding day. Brooke and Cody are also the kind of people that are always happy and show their happiness all the time. They have a love for one another that anyone around them can see too.
Brooke wore her mothers wedding dress, with a few adjustments (neckline and sleeves removed) for her. The dress looked stunning on her and she wore it so well. She played in an open field in her wedding dress and you can see her happiness radiating through her smile! Brooke’s cousin also brought rue (a flower that is a part of a Polish tradition that is supposed to bring luck and love to wherever it is brought) from her grandmothers garden and it was placed in her bouquet.
Brooke and Cody had a first look in the courtyard at the stunning Gedney Farm. Cody’s reaction to her dress could not have been cuter! At first, he was so excited to see her, then he stopped for a moment, took a step back and looked at the whole dress. He stared in amazement and you could see the love in his eyes. Cody was the first groom that actually stopped to stare,…and it was beautiful.
They were married by Father Manuel who is the priest at the college where Brooke works. He had a beautiful homily about how people change and when you change you are no longer married to the person you first fell in love with,… rather you adapt to those changes in the person and fall in love all over again and again! Change is the one thing in life that is guaranteed over and over again!
After their ceremony, we headed back to Gedney Farms where the family formals, cocktail hour and reception took place. Everyone had a great time celebrating the newlyweds and Gedney Farm provided great food and a beautiful new cocktail courtyard! The night rocked on with tunes from Teddy, a DJ at JTD Productions. Cheers to the newlyweds!
