Ben and Sue were married this past weekend at Hopkins Inn. It was a small, intimate wedding with family and a few close friends present. They were married on the porch of the Inn that overlooks Lake Warmaug. If you have never had the chance to head up to Lake Warmaug or Hopkins Inn, this is should be put on your MUST over the summer. Sue had her best friends Andrea and Tom walk her down the isle where they stood under a traditional chauppa for their ceremony. I learned about the tradition of the chauppa this weekend too! It is to signify the couple’s new home together where the 4 walls are open on all side to welcome people to their unconditional hospitality. I know Ben & Sue have very open, honest and welcoming personalities so this fits their relationship very well! After their ceremony I took them for a few quiet moments to enjoy time together and to take pictures. They were so much fun to be around and their guests really enjoyed themselves too! It was a perfect day and I wish them both a lifetime of continued happiness!
