Wedding Date: August 28th, 2026
Ethan and Sofie have known each other since high school, so photographing their wedding felt like capturing a celebration everyone had been waiting for since day one. As a photographer, I get to witness a lot of love stories, but this was easily one of the most special weddings I’ve had in a long time seeing as I know the groom’s family personally. Turns out, I have actually met the bride and groom before their wedding day too!
Their love story, that started in high school, set the tone for the entire day. Their families were woven into every single detail, filling the celebration with genuine, personal touches. The grooms family grew all the flowers, grandma made all the jam for guests to take home, Sofie’s mom tailored her wedding gown to fit her so perfectly. As a special thanks, Sofie did not throw her bouquet, but she dedicated it to her mother. During the speeches, both the best man and maid of honor reminisced about just how much time the two spent together back in the day.
The entire day was effortless, gorgeous, and deeply personal- rich in the community of people who helped bring it to life and the decades of memories they brought with them. Cheers to the next 100 years, Ethan and Sofie!
